Be careful on sunny, steep slopes with soft and wet snow, natural released wet avalanches are likely.Keep distance to areas with glide-cracks and keep a large distance to cornices.

Noen cm med nysnø på søndag la seg på mildværsskaren fra sist uke, og gjorde ikke noe nevneverdig av seg. Skarelaget er relativt porøst og knekker lett. Snøen har tidligere vært gjennomfuktet opp til omtrent 800 moh. Der hvor det er klarvær om natten fryser snødekket til igjen og vil gradvis tørke ut.

Forrige ukes mildvær og fravær av nattefrost har tæret godt på snødekket i lavlandet.

Det er generelt mye snø på fjellet. Det har mange steder dannet seg store skavler.

Avalanche risk assessment

Snødekket fremstår som stabilt, men når solen myker opp snødekket utover dagen kan det gå naturlig utløste våte skred i bratt, solvendt terreng.

Vær obs på at det på steder med svaberg kan løsne glideskred. Det er vanskelig å forutse når glideskred løsner.

Vær obs på at skavler i fjellet kan svekkes av mildværet.
